  Lena Mae Fristoe, age 83, of Rising Sun, Maryland, died Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at home. She was born in Gent, West Virginia on February 5, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Joe Farley and Charity Cuckler Farley. Mrs. Fristoe was a resident of Cecil County, Maryland for 50 years.

   Mrs. Fristoe retired as an assembly line worker from R.M.R. Corporation, in Elkton, Maryland. She enjoyed her family and canning. She also loved gardening and plants.

   Mrs. Fristoe was preceded in death by her husband, Headley Fristoe, who died in 1977; and also by her children, Bobby Hunter and Earlene Lilly.

   Mrs. Fristoe is survived by her companion, James West, Rising Sun, Maryland; children, Charlotte Lively, Cincinnati, Ohio, Patty and George Kemfort, Rising Sun, Maryland, Margaret and Albert Birch, Retha Zimmerman, Phyllis Wingert, and Alice McBride, all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ronnie Hunter, Coal City, West Virginia; 38 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and her nephew, Clinton Weaver, Pennsylvania.

   Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 10, 2001 at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland, where family and friends may call one (1) hour prior to funeral service. Rev. Rob Daum will officiate.

   Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, Maryland.
